
Dr. Mark Atma is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in the Metro Detroit area and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science at Michigan State University. He has a great affinity for animals and nature, and particularly, the human-animal bond. He enjoys kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and gardening. He is married to Dr. Ruth TenBroek, and together since 1997, they have operated the Pennfield Animal Hospital. They have three children. Pets include: a beagle, 2 border collies, 5 cats, one horse, a few chickens and two very fine frogs!
