Dr. Wilson attended Harvard University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 1999, and then attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine for her doctoral degree (2005), during which time she took a course in wildlife and capture medicine in South Africa. After vet school, she completed a year-long internship in internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, neurology, and emergency medicine at Animal Emergency and Referral Center in the Chicago area. She spent a year in Kalamazoo working at Kalamazoo Animal Hospital, and then 4 years in Kalamazoo practicing emergency medicine at Southwest Michigan Animal Emergency Hospital before joining the staff at Pennfield Animal Hospital in late 2010. She is originally from Pennfield, and she lives in Battle Creek with her wife, children and pets. She enjoys writing, snowboarding, watersports, camping, and traveling.
